Florence World Heritage

The Historic Centre of Florence was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List on December 17, 1982.

The Historic Centre is defined as a “unique artistic realization, an absolute chef-d’œuvre, the fruit of continuous creation over more than six centuries”, capable of having “influence on the development of architecture and the fine arts, first in Italy, and then in Europe”.
